Below is a form for you to complete to get the cards on the table (“Facing Your Fears”). Complete the form BEFORE moving on! We need to know where you’re starting from.

Form Instructions

Please be brutally honest with us, and yourself. To those of you with professional training (including lawyers), take some time to reflect. Often people who come in thinking they know the most are the least well prepared.

Everyone has certain fears, anxieties, or stress when they come into a deposition. This is natural. It’s a new experience and involves sensitive information you haven’t shared with many people, let alone someone hired by the defendant’s insurance company.

Remember, some amount of fear is healthy. But only if we use our fear as a counselor and never allow it to be a jailer.

When our fears are not addressed, they become debilitating and paralyzing. As in much of life, the thing we fear is only as powerful as we make it. So, it’s important that we work on these early in the process of preparing for the deposition.

These fears could include anything as simple as “who is going to be at the deposition,” or as serious as “I’m afraid they are going to blame me.” These are all natural. We will get these on the table early and deal with them.

Everyone has things that concern them or gives them stress about a deposition. If you cannot think of anything, then you aren’t thinking hard enough.

Once you’ve completed the form, you’ll be sent back here to review the Deposition Basics!

Concerns

Please add AT LEAST 3-4 of these--you can add up to 10!--using the "Add Another Concern" button below.
"Concern" doesn't have to be something that troubles you deeply. Just something you're thinking about. Even if you assume you know the answer, list it here!
What about this worries you? Why do you think you are thinking about it? What's the worst-case scenario in your mind?
Be creative. you don't have to be "right" or know for sure.
Before you submit, have you taken the time to add all your concerns? If not, use "Add Another Concern" button above to add more. Thanks!
